An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
